What is a Google review QR code?
A Google review QR code points at your Business Profile review form. A customer scans it with their phone camera and the leave-a-review box opens directly, with your business already loaded, so they can rate you and write a review without searching for your name.
A review link is one of the most stable URLs your business has. It never needs to change, which is why it belongs on a printed counter sign that sits by the register for years. The code here is static, with the link baked in, so it keeps scanning even if you stop using QRGenie, and no dynamic-QR subscription is holding it alive. In your Google Business Profile, select Read Reviews, then Get more reviews. Copy the short review link Google gives you to share.

How do I get my Google review link?
In your Google Business Profile, select Read Reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the review link. Paste that link into the tool above to turn it into a QR code you can print.
Google already shows a QR code in my Business Profile. Why use this?
Google's built-in review QR works fine, but it only generates on a computer browser. This one works on any device, lets you style the code to fit your counter card, and downloads print-ready, with no login. Both open the same review page.
Does the Google review QR code expire?
No. The code is static, with your review link baked in, so a printed card keeps scanning for years. It keeps working even if you stop using QRGenie or delete the app. Nothing on a server can switch it off.
Is asking for reviews with a QR code allowed?
Yes. Google supports sharing your review link so customers can find your form. What Google prohibits is offering incentives, like discounts or free goods, in exchange for reviews, which it treats as fake engagement. The QR code only shares the link.
Do customers need a Google account?
Yes. Google requires reviewers to be signed in to a Google account and does not allow anonymous reviews. Most people are already signed in on their phone, so scanning the code opens the review form ready to write.
Can I pre-select 5 stars for customers?
No. The link opens Google's standard review form, where the customer taps the stars to choose their own rating and writes the review themselves. You cannot fill in a score for them. The honest use is simply to make leaving a review easy.
Where should I place it and how big?
Put it where a customer has a free moment: the counter by the register, a table tent, the receipt, or a packaging insert. Print it at least 2 cm wide so a phone camera locks on quickly from a comfortable distance.
