What is a business card QR code?
A business card QR code holds your contact details (name, phone, email, company, website) as a vCard. Someone scans it with their phone camera and taps once to save you to their contacts. No typing a number off a paper card, no transcription typos.
Because it is a static vCard baked into the pattern, it works on any modern iPhone or Android with no app. Print it on a physical card, add it to an email signature, or show it on your screen for someone to scan.
How it works
Fill in your details
Add your name, then any of phone, email, company, website, and address. Only the name is required; leave the rest blank and they simply will not appear.
Style it, optionally
Pick a palette and module style so it matches your brand or card design. The preview updates as you type.
Download and print
Save the PNG and drop it onto your card, badge, flyer, or email signature. It scans straight to an "Add to Contacts" prompt.
Where a business card QR code fits
Printed business cards
Put it on the back. One scan saves every detail, so your card survives the wallet-to-contacts gap most paper cards die in.
Conference badges
Wear your contact code. New connections save you correctly instead of squinting at a name badge later.
Email signatures
Drop the code in your signature so anyone can save your details from an email open on their phone.
Storefronts and market stalls
A scannable contact by the till makes it effortless for people to keep in touch after they leave.
Questions
What is a vCard, exactly?
A vCard is the standard file format for a contact, the same one your phone uses internally. A business card QR code stores a vCard, so scanning it offers to save the contact with the right name, number, and email in the right fields.
Will it save straight to the phone’s contacts?
Yes. Scanned with the camera, modern iPhones and Android phones recognize the vCard and show an "Add to Contacts" prompt, pre-filled with every field you included. The person taps once to save you.
Which fields can I include?
Name, phone, email, company, website, and a full postal address. Only the first name is required. Anything you leave blank is omitted from the card, so it stays clean and scans fast.
Can I put it on a printed card?
Yes, that is the most common use. Download the PNG and place it on your card with a little clear space around it. Keep it at least about two centimeters square so phone cameras lock on easily.
Do I need a special app to make or scan it?
No. This tool builds it in your browser, and the built-in camera app on most phones reads it. There is nothing to install on either side.
What if my details change later?
A static vCard code is fixed once you download it, so generate a fresh code and reprint if your number or email changes. The upside of static is that it never expires and never depends on a server staying online.
Is it free for commercial use?
Yes. Print it on cards, client-facing materials, or packaging at no cost and with no attribution required. A static vCard code carries no licensing of any kind.
